2023 Roadmap

XYZ's roadmap isn't fixed. It is dependent on the developments happening on Azuro - the protocol which enables decentralized betting on-chain. Below is some of the expected progress in the future.

2023 Q1/Q2 - Combo bets

XYZ combo bets are also known as accumulators, accas, or parlays in traditional betting. In fact, those are one of the most popular types of bets. A combo bet combines bets from multiple games into one bet to create a bigger payout.

2023 Q2 - Live (in-play) betting

Live or in-play betting is betting while the event is actually taking place. For example, placing a bet on a horserace while the race is being run, or on a football match whilst it is being played.
Live betting is extremely popular all around the world.

2023 - New sports & markets

The addition of new sports and markets is an ongoing process until we reach the depth of a traditional web2 sportsbook.
More betting markets are expected for the existing sports available now (like "Exact score" for football), plus adding new sports naturally comes with the need to add their own respective betting markets.

2023 - Bet cash outs (the NFT bets marketplace)

A cash-out is the opportunity to settle a bet before the event has ended. The option can be used to secure a small profit early on, or even to get a portion of your money back if you have lost confidence in your bet.
On bookmaker.XYZ bettors mint their bets as NFTs. Such NFTs will then be tradable in a decentralized marketplace. I.e. decentralized cash-out option*.
The marketplace will let everyone sell/buy such NFT bets. It is also envisioned that players will be able to filter and sort their search to see the odds of the bet available there vs current market odds - in order to help players look for "value bets".
*Cashouts in traditional betting allow bettors to “sell” their bet back to the bookmaker during the lifespan of the bet, usually for a value that’s less than the expected winnings. It is only given as an option and at a price determined by the bookmaker.
