How to get USDT on Linea

USDT is a stablecoin pegged to the US Dollar 1:1. All bets placed on Linea are settled, and redeemed, in USDT.

Bridging USDT to LINEA

At the time of writing LINEA is not widely supported by the major T1 CEXs, this is why we need to bridge USDT from a source chain to LINEA, or use a DEX to swap tokens on LINEA to USDT

There are a number of bridges supporting the launch of LINEA. We recommend using Meson if you want to bridge USDT directly to LINEA from a source chain.

NOTE: Bridging fees are quite high at the time of writing, a more cost-effective method is bridging ETH using Orbiter and swapping from ETH to USDT using a DEX

1. Head to Meson

2. On the top right side of your screen select Connectand connect your wallet

3. Select your source chain in the From section and select Linea in the To section

4. Input the amount of USDT you want to bridge, and then select Swap

5. Click Confirm And Sendand wait for the bridging process to complete

6. Once it has confirmed on chain, you have successfully bridged USDT from your source chain to ETH on LINEA.

Select your source chain in FROM, and your select LINEA as your destination chain in TO

Input the amount you want to bridge and click SWAP

If this is your first time interacting with Meson, you will need to approve the contract interaction

Click CONFIRM and wait for the transaction to confirm on-chain

Getting USDT via a DEX (Decentralized Exchange)

If you have already bridged ETH to LINEA, it is a much more cost-effective to swap ETH to USDT using a DEX. We recommend Kyber Swap for this.

1. Head to Kyber Swap

2. On the top right side of your screen select Connectand connect your wallet

3. Select the currency you want to swap from and to. In this case ETH to USDT

4. Input the amount you want to swap.

   1. If this is the first time you are interacting with Kyber, you will need to approve the contract interaction.

   2. Click approve and wait for the contract approval to confirm.

   3. Click swap and wait for the transaction to confirm on-chain.

5. Once the transaction has been confirmed, you will receive a pop-up and you're ready to begin placing bets!

Input the amount you would like to swap to USDT and select SWAP

Select CONFIRM SWAP and wait for the TX to confirm on chain

Once the TX has confirmed, you have successfully swapped ETH to USDT and can begin placing bets
